Sunflower, Mammoth Grey Stripe #333

Mammoth Grey Stripe sunflowers are towering annuals, growing 9–12 feet tall with massive yellow blooms up to 12 inches wide. Their striking faces track the sun, and each produces a large central head packed with edible seeds that have gray and white stripes. These sunflowers attract pollinators and make a dramatic garden statement.

To grow, sow seeds directly in full sun after the last frost in well-draining soil. Space seeds 18–24 inches apart and water regularly. Support may be needed as they mature. Harvest seeds when backs of flower heads turn brown and petals fall. Dry heads and remove seeds for snacking or bird feed. Replant annually.
